MaroonEffect.org is a non profit (501(c)3) organization founded after the events of April 16th, 2007. The mission of the event is to "to forever honor the 32 victims of April 16, 2007." Each year we will highlight one of the 32 individuals to serve as the organization's guiding light for that year. We will dedicate our fundraising efforts in support of the charity that best reflects the sprit of that individual and their family.

 100% of the net proceeds raised at each Maroon Effect event will be donated to individual charities (as chosen by the victims' families) and to the Eternal Hokies Scholarship Fund, which will provide financial assistance to incoming Virginia Tech students from the Tri-State area.
